The Padi Tec 50 Technical diving course is the final of three courses that make up the full Padi Tec Deep Diver course (Tec 40, Tec 45 & Tec 50) and consists of four dives.
This course is the final step in completing your training as an entry level technical diver and beyond the limits of recreational divingWhat you will learn. The skills required to make actual decompression dives as deep as 50 metres by using Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) and/or oxygen for decompression.
Plan a dive by use Desktop Software to generate custom dive tablesOnce certified you will know how to make extended, accelerated decompression stops using up to two Stage cylinders with up to two gases and you will be qualified to make technical decompression dives independentlyMaster the skills and procedures required to enable you to move into deeper technical diving
The Scuba Gear you will use a standard configuration of technical scuba gear, normally back mounted twin cylinders joined with a manifold and independent regulators and a single stage decompression cylinder
Required Learning materials:
A Padi Tec Deep Diver Crew Pack, which includes the manual, Dive Planning Slate, Dive Planning Check List and an optional Equipment Setup and Key Skills DVD.
The manual contains the theory required, Tech Diving "Jargon", Gas Planning, Decompression procedures and Emergency Procedures. If you have completed the Padi Tec 40/45 course, you will have already purchased the Crew Pack
Prerequisites:
- 18+ years of age
- Certified Advanced Open Water Diver level (or hold a qualifying certification from another organisation)
- Padi Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organisation)
- Padi Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organisation)
- Padi Deep Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organisation)
- Padi Tec 45 (or hold a qualifying certification from another organisation)
- Have a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which - 20 x dives using enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) deeper than 18m and at least 15 x dives must have been deeper than 30m (with or without EANx)
- Have a medical form signed by your physician
